Washington, 14 Oct (HS): Pakistan Finance Minister Ishaq Dar had to face humiliation as soon as he alighted at Washington airport to participate in the International Monetary Fund (IMF) meeting. Those who saw him at the airport shouted the slogan of “Chor, Chor” (thief). Dar and delegates with him lost control and started hurling abuses on the slogan shouters.
Dar, a close relative of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was appointed Finance Minister of Pakistan recently. This is his maiden visit as minister to Washington. The video of Dar became viral. A person can be seen openly calling Dar a thief and liar. Last month Pakistan’s Information ad Broadcasting Minister Maryam Aurangzeb also had to face a similar insult during her visit to London.
