Lucknow, 29 February (HS): Manoj Kumar Pandey, a Samajwadi Party MLA, has announced that he will visit Ayodhya with his family on Thursday to pay his respects to Lord Ram Lalla. Pandey, an MLA from Unchahar in Raebareli, resigned as SP chief whip on February 27 and cross-voted for the BJP candidate in the Rajya Sabha elections. ?After years of sacrifice, a majestic temple was constructed. It is with great satisfaction that I will pay homage to Ram Lalla with my family,” the SP MLA stated.
“I had visited the city earlier as well and offered prayers to Lord Ram,” Pandey went on to say. “I shall pray for the welfare of the people. People are pleased with the government’s policies, such as free rationing,” he said.
SP president Akhilesh Yadav declined an invitation to attend the consecration ceremony on January 22. The party’s assembly members did not accompany the legislators on their journey to Ayodhya on February 11.
