On Tuesday, Shafiqur Rahman Barq, the esteemed MP from Sambhal representing the Samajwadi Party, passed away at the age of 93. His passing occurred at a private hospital in Moradabad, where he was undergoing treatment after his health deteriorated due to a long-standing illness. Having served as an MLA four times, Barq was elected to the Sambhal constituency as an MP for the fifth time in the 2019 elections. The Samajwadi Party expressed deep sorrow over his death, extending their condolences to his family and hoping for peace for his soul.
