Gov gives nod to UP State Capital Region of 28k sq km area

Lucknow, 15 March (HS): Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel has approved the UP State Capital Region (UP SCR) spanning 28,000 square kilometers within the boundaries of six districts. #UPStateCapitalRegion #GovernorApproval

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath recently convened a meeting regarding UP SCR and subsequently secured approval for the SCR proposal in the UP Cabinet. #YogiAdityanath #UPCabinetApproval

Following the approval of the UP SCR proposal by the Cabinet, it was forwarded for the Governor’s endorsement. Two committees will now be established for development initiatives, with the first committee chaired by the Chief Secretary. The districts of Hardoi, Rae Bareli, Sitapur, Unnao, and Barabanki, surrounding Lucknow, have been incorporated into UP SCR. The intention is to model UP SCR after the National Capital Region (NCR) of New Delhi, with aspirations to present it as a benchmark for development. #DistrictIncorporation #ModelOfDevelopment

Plans are underway to transform UP SCR into a hub for modern education centers, contemporary parks, industrial development zones, and infrastructure facilities.
