In response to the court’s decision, Yadav remarked, “The entire nation should be made aware of this. It’s a relief that the Supreme Court will scrutinize the list of electoral bond affiliations. This will unveil the intended recipients of the electoral bonds. The lingering question remains whether this list will be shared with the public.”

The ex-chief minister of Uttar Pradesh also pointed fingers at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), questioning the transparency of their funding. “Whether you or I are aware, the BJP knows the sources of its funds. If we had donations, we would have been informed. The paramount concern is whether this information will be accessible to the public,” he commented during a press conference at the Samajwadi Party office.#BJP #FundingTransparency
A five-judge Constitution bench of the Supreme Court, led by Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud, refused the State Bank of India’s request for a deadline extension, directing it to furnish the electoral bond details to the Election Commission by the end of business on March 12. Additionally, the court mandated the Election Commission to publish the provided information on its official website by 5 p.m. on March 15.
