Ex-Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren moves high court for bail

What is the matter ? CM Hemant Soren Seeks Bail, Claims Innocence in Money-Laundering Case

Ranchi, 28 May (H.S): Former Jharkhand chief minister Hemant Soren, who has been in jail since his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate on January 31 in connection with a money-laundering case, has filed a petition before the high court seeking bail. Soren, who resigned from his post before his arrest, has requested an early hearing of the matter and his petition is listed for Tuesday before a bench of Justice Rongon Mukhopadhyay.

Soren has pleaded that he was not involved in any wrongdoing and his name does not appear in any documents related to the alleged land scam. He also argued that the ED was relying on statements from individuals without any supporting documents. Despite failing to receive relief from the Supreme Court on May 22, Soren remains determined to prove his innocence and clear his name from these false allegations.
