Lucknow, 12 Dec (HS): Newly-elected Chief Minister Madhya Pradesh Mohan Yadav will definitely influence the politics not only of Madhya Pradesh but also of Uttar Pradesh. From today, BJP has started working on plans to use new MP CM as their trump card in UP. Due to his in-laws being in Sultanpur district, he can easily succeed in adding a feeling of belongingness among the people of his community here. Due to this, SP has already started feeling jittery.

There is an atmosphere of celebration at Mohan Yadav’s in-laws house in Sultanpur after he was declared the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh. People of the locality along with in-laws participated in the celebration on Monday. The process of congratulating father-in-law Brahmanand and brother-in-law Vivekananda continues. People are congratulating the family members by meeting them live on the phone.

Sangh leader Pavnesh told reporters that Mohan Yadav had visited here about one and a half years ago. BJP is making efforts to bring this vote bank with itself by giving Mohan a share in power. This is a big post, but this plan of BJP was going on earlier.

Yadav community in Uttar Pradesh has been very aware and sharing in power since the 80s. This is the reason that after Akhilesh was out of power, the Yadav community again started looking for a share in power. BJP made this an opportunity by kicking off efforts to strengthen the hold among Yadavs from 2017 itself.

At present in Uttar Pradesh, be it Sports Minister Girish Chandra Yadav or Rajya Sabha MP Harnath Singh Yadav, these are the big faces of BJP in the Yadav community. In Azamgarh Lok Sabha by-election, BJP fielded Dinesh Lal Yadav alias Nirahua. He defeated Dharmendra Yadav, the most important person of Akhilesh family, in the elections. Now along with Mohan Yadav, BJP will contest the 24 elections with these big faces in UP and will try to make further dent in the Yadav vote bank.

For the hat-trick of wins at the Centre, the BJP is again banking heavily on party-ruled Uttar Pradesh, where Yadavs are the most prominent OBC group. Nearly nine per cent of Yadavs in Uttar Pradesh have almost decisive influence in many Lok Sabha constituencies including Etawah, Badaun, Mainpuri, Firozabad, Etawah, Mainpuri, Faizabad, Sant Kabir Nagar, Ballia, Jaunpur and Azamgarh. In June 2022, BJP’s Dinesh Lal Yadav Nirahua won the Azamgarh Lok Sabha by-election after the seat was vacated by SP chief Akhilesh Yadav.

Mohan Yadav was married to Seema Yadav, daughter of Brahmanand Yadav, resident of Vivekananda Nagar locality, Sultanpur, Uttar Pradesh in 1994. His father-in-law Bahmanand was at that time the principal of an inter college in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh. At that time Mohan was the organization minister of Vidyarthi Parishad. Both the families came in contact at the same time. Brahmanand remained full-time at Vidya Bharati upon his retirement in 1997.

According to Harsh Vardhan Tripathi, a veteran journalist and political commentator, the BJP’s decision to choose Mohan Yadav as MP CM would undoubtedly have an influence on Uttar Pradesh. Until recently, this was the only community in Uttar Pradesh where the BJP had not had a significant effect, but Akhilesh’s diminishing support base and Mohan Yadav?s growing stature in BJP will help in bringing the Yadav community along with the saffron outfit.
