Two girls found in UP living with their mother’s body for a year

Varanasi, 30 Nov (HS): Two sisters in Uttar Pradesh’s Varanasi district were discovered living in their residence in the city’s Madarwa region with the corpse of their mother, who died around a year ago.

The event was discovered after the girls’ neighbors failed to see them for many days and discovered their house door closed. They alerted the girl’s family, who arrived at their home and told the police about the occurrence. When the police arrived at the house, they discovered the woman’s body as well as the two girls seated close to it.

According to authorities, the two daughters, Pallavi Tripathi (27) and Vaishvik Tripathi (17), used to burn agarbattis (incense sticks) to mask the unpleasant stench of the body. The woman’s husband had left the house two years before and had not returned even after his wife died, according to authorities. Following the finding of the body, authorities arrested both girls, and the issue is being probed further.
