Kamrup, 30 Nov (HS): Rangia police of the district have arrested two youths involved in the business of counterfeit currency notes. Police said on Thursday that on the basis of secret information, during an operation conducted in Ward No. 1 area of the police station area, two youths were arrested along with 23,000 fake notes of ?500.
The arrested accused were identified as Jeetu Medhi of Sonpur and Jyoti Das hailing from Barpeta. The police have registered an FIR in this regard and are intensively interrogating the two arrested accused.
