New Delhi, November 30 (HS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi described India’s women power, youth power, farmers, and poor families as the four nectar pillars of developed India and said “for me, these four are big ‘castes”. India will develop only with their rise.
He said that a voice is being heard from across the country and that Modi’s guarantee starts from where people’s expectations from others end.
On Thursday, the Prime Minister interacted with the beneficiaries of the Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra through video conferencing. He also launched the Pradhan Mantri Mahila Kisan Drone Centre. During the programme, the Prime Minister inaugurated the historic 10,000th Jan Aushadhi Centre at AIIMS, Deoghar.
Apart from this, Modi also launched a programme to increase the number of Jan Aushadhi centres in the country from 10,000 to 25,000. Providing drones to women SHGs and increasing the number of Jan Aushadhi Kendras from 10,000 to 25,000 – both initiatives were announced by the Prime Minister during his Independence Day speech this year. This programme symbolises the fulfilment of these promises. The Prime Minister interacted with beneficiaries from Deoghar in Jharkhand, Rayagada in Odisha, Prakasam in Andhra Pradesh, Namsai in Arunachal Pradesh, and Arnia in Jammu and Kashmir.
The Prime Minister said that the Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra is completing 15 days today, and now it has gained momentum. Seeing the affection and participation of the people, the name of the VBSY van was changed from ‘Vikas Rath’ to ‘Modi Ki Guarantee Vahan’. The Prime Minister thanked the citizens for their faith in the government.
The Prime Minister said that ‘Modi Ki Guarantee Gaadi’ has so far reached more than 12,000-gramme panchayats, where about 30 lakh citizens have joined it. He also appreciated the participation of women in VBSY. Modi said that India is now invincible and tireless. It is the people of India who have decided to make it a developed nation. He also mentioned promoting ‘Vocal for Local’ in the recently concluded festive season.
The Prime Minister credited his faith in the government and its efforts for the successful reception of VBSY. Reflecting on a time when the government ignored the basic needs of citizens when a large population was deprived of basic amenities like houses, toilets, electricity, gas connections, insurance, or bank accounts, the Prime Minister criticised corrupt practices like bribery. He underlined that it is the present government that has transformed bad governance into good governance and aims to achieve saturation. Modi said, “Modi’s guarantee begins where expectations from others end.
The Prime Minister underlined, “The resolve of a developed India is not of Modi or any government; it is a resolve of taking everyone along on the path of development.” He said that the objective of the Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra is to provide government schemes and benefits to those who are left behind. He also urged the youth to register as Mera Bharat volunteers and join the Mera Bharat campaign.
While launching the VBSY, underscoring that it is based on the four Amrit Pillars of ‘Developed India’, the Prime Minister recalled India’s women power, youth power, farmers, and poor families and said that these four pillars will lead to progress and make India a developed country.
Prime Minister Modi also discussed two other developments related to empowering women through the use of drones in agriculture and making medicines available at affordable prices for poor families.
Regarding the launch of Mahila Kisan Drone Centres, the Prime Minister recalled the announcement of Drone Didi during his Independence Day speech and informed that in the coming times, drones will be provided to 15,000 self-help groups along with training of drone pilots.
Referring to the inauguration of the 10,000th Jan Aushadhi Kendra, Modi said that it has become a hub for the poor and middle class to buy medicines at affordable rates. The Prime Minister said, “Jan Aushadhi Kendras are now being called ‘Modi’s medicine shops” and thanked the citizens for their affection.
He said that about 2000 types of medicines are sold at such centres at a discount of 80 to 90 percent. He congratulated the citizens, especially the women of the country, for the launch of the programme to increase the number of Jan Aushadhi Centres from 10,000 to 25,000. He also expressed happiness that the PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana has been extended for the next 5 years. “Modi’s guarantee means guarantee of fulfilment,” he said.
