Imphal (Manipur), November, 30 (HS): Manipur Police detained 245 persons in connection with s in Kakching, Imphal West, Thoubal, Bishnupur and Tengnopal districts of the state. Movement of 350 vehicles on NH-37 and 424 vehicles on NH-2 with essential commodities has been ensured, police said on Thursday.
Stringent security measures have been taken at all sensitive places to ensure free and safe movement of vehicles and security forces have been deployed extensively in sensitive areas. Police said 142 check points and check posts have been set up in various districts of Manipur, both in the hills and in the Valley.
