Jammu, March 27 (HS): Traffic is moving smoothly on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway on Monday. Meanwhile, the Srinagar-Leh highway is also open for traffic while the snow clearance work on Mughal Road has reached its final stage and is likely to open soon.
Light vehicles are being moved from Jammu to Srinagar and from Srinagar to Jammu on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway since Monday morning. Heavy vehicles will be allowed to move from Chanaini Udhampur towards Srinagar only after the passing of light vehicles. Apart from this, the vehicles of the security forces will be allowed to move from Jammu towards Srinagar only after the passage of cargo and other vehicles.
Meanwhile, the Srinagar-Leh highway is also open for traffic. But the work of clearing the snow on the Mughal road is still going on, soon this road will also be opened for traffic after the snow is cleared from Shopian in South Kashmir. Officials say that no vehicle will be allowed to move on the highway after the stipulated time.
