PM to attend in ‘Griha Pravesham’ for 4.5 Lakh beneficiaries today in Rewa of MP

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh), 24 April (HS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi is reaching Rewa today (Monday). He will attend the National Panchayati Raj Day function at SAF Ground in Rewa at 11:30 am. Along with this, he will address all the Gram Sabhas and Panchayati Raj Institutions of the country.

Prime Minister Modi will give a virtual housewarming ceremony to 4 lakh 11 thousand beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Along with this, he will inaugurate, lay and inaugurate five large groups of water supply schemes costing Rs 7853 crore of Jal Jeevan Mission in Madhya Pradesh and rail projects worth more than Rs 2300 crore. The Prime Minister will also visit the development exhibition.

Governor Mangubhai Patel, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Union Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Giriraj Singh, Union Minister of State for Steel and Rural Development Faggan Singh Kulaste, Union Minister of State for Panchayati Raj Kapil Moreshwar Patil, Union Minister of State for Jal Shakti and Food Processing were present at the ceremony. Prahlad Singh Patel, union Minister of State for Rural Development Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti, Panchayat and Rural Development Minister of Madhya Pradesh Mahendra Singh Sisodia, Food Minister Bisahulal Singh, Minister of State for Panchayat and Rural Development Ramkhelavan Patel and regional MP Janardan Mishra will be present.

Public Relations Officer Umesh Tiwari said that Prime Minister Modi would inaugurate the integrated e-Gram Swaraj and GeM portal for public procurement at the Panchayat level at the National Panchayati Raj Day function. e-Gram Swaraj Government e-Marketplace Integration aims to enable Panchayats to market their goods and services through GeM by leveraging the e-Gram Swaraj platform.

He informed that the Prime Minister would also launch the campaign “Shared steps towards development” with the aim of increasing people’s participation in ensuring the full benefits of the schemes of the government. The Prime Minister will hand over around 35 lakh Swamitva Property Cards to the beneficiaries. With the handing over of these cards, about 1 crore 25 lakh property cards would have been distributed in the ownership scheme in the country.

Prime Minister Modi will lay the foundation stone and dedicate to the nation various rail projects worth about Rs 2300 crore. These include doubling, gauge conversion and electrification projects along with 100 per cent electrification of the rail network in Madhya Pradesh. The Prime Minister will inaugurate the redevelopment of Gwalior station by showing green flags and flagging off three trains.

The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone of five projects of the Jal Jeevan Mission worth about Rs 7,853 crore. Among these, the Rewa Bansagar project costs Rs 2319 crore 45 lakh to supply water to 1411 villages of Rewa district, the Satna Bansagar-2 project costs Rs 2153 crore 12 lakh, the water supply scheme benefiting 295 villages of Rewa and Satna district, Rs 1641 crore 52 Direct Bansagar group tap-water scheme costing Rs 951 crore 18 lakh to provide drinking water to 677 villages, Tumas group tap-water scheme costing 630 villages of Rewa district costing Rs 951 crore 18 lakh and Rs 788 crore 63 lakh Gulab Sagar Group Water Supply Scheme benefitting 323 villages. About 9 lakh 48 thousand families of 4 thousand 36 villages will be benefited from these schemes.
