New Delhi, March 24 (HS): Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the Finance Bill-2023 in the Lok Sabha today (Friday). The bill gives effect to the financial proposals for the financial year 2023-2024. Earlier on Thursday, the Lok Sabha passed the Appropriation Bill 2023.
Along with this, the Lok Sabha has also given its approval to the demands for grants of different ministries. Meanwhile, Indian-American candidate Ajay Banga, the nominated candidate for the post of President of the World Bank, has been found to be Kovid positive. After this, his meeting with the union Finance Minister has been cancelled.
