Delhi, 22 December (H.S): The Ministry of Mines has announced that it will be conducting a pre-bid conference on Friday for the first tranche of auction of critical and strategic minerals.
This conference will be held at the Dr. Ambedkar International Centre in hybrid mode and will offer an opportunity for industry players, potential bidders, and other stakeholders to seek clarification and resolve any queries related to the auction.
The ministry had launched the first tranche auction of 20 critical minerals on November 29, which are located in eight states and union territories. These minerals, including Glauconite, Graphite, Potash, Nickel, PGE, Lithium, REE, Molybdenum, and Phosphorite, are in high demand for the production of advanced technologies like wind turbines, solar panels, smartphones, and military hardware. The conference aims to facilitate a smooth bidding process and promote transparency in the auction of these valuable resources.
