Mimicry Row: BJP burn effigies of RaGa and Kalyan Banerjee

Moradabad, 21 Dec (HS): In protest against the insult of Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar, workers under the aegis of BJP Mahanagar unit on Thursday raised slogans against Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and TMC MP Kalyan Banerjee and burnt their effigies in the Collectorate premises.

BJP Metropolitan President Sanjay Sharma said that the way arrogant leaders ridiculed Jagdeep Dhankhar, the Vice President of the country and Chairman of the Rajya Sabha, born in a Jat farmer family and the pride of Rajasthan, is not just a person or a post but an insult to the Indian Constitution.

?The dignity of the entire Parliament has been violated by this indecent behaviour. The way Congress and other opposition parties are supporting Kalyan Banerjee, it reveals their distorted mentality. These people are saying that if mimicry was done outside the House, then how was the House insulted?

“Just imagine what would be the behaviour of leaders inside the House, whose conduct is like this outside the House. Opposition leaders should keep in mind that this affects the global image of the country, but it is unfortunate that the opposition leaders are tarnishing the dignity and image of the nation,? they said.

BJP Metropolitan General Secretary Shyam Bihari Sharma said that the leaders of the arrogant alliance insult the OBC community but do not apologise. ?They insult Dalit society. They insult the tribal society, and now they have insulted the Vice President but instead of apologising they are giving all kinds of arguments. By insulting the people holding constitutional posts, the opposition alliance is showing their frustration of defeat. He is not insulting any person or party but the country,? he said.

On this occasion, former Metropolitan President Dharmendra Nath Mishra, Metropolitan General Secretary Dinesh Tophwal, Deputy Leader of Municipal Corporation Councilor Party Surendra Vishnoi, Metropolitan Vice President Girish Bhandula etc. were present.
