Deoria, 21 Dec (HS): On Thursday morning, there was a loud explosion in the second floor room of a house in Bariyarpur police station area of the district. The wall along with the door of the room collapsed. Three people have been injured in the accident. Police are now investigating what caused the explosion.
Zainul Ansari, living in Padri Mall of Bariyarpur police station area, has a clothes shop at Sonu Ghat intersection. His son and daughter-in-law live on the first floor of his house. The daughter-in-law was in the bathroom for bath at six o’clock on Thursday morning. The son was sleeping with his children in the room on the second floor. Meanwhile, a suspicious object kept near the door exploded. The explosion was so strong that the family and nearby people were frightened.
Due to the explosion, the door of the staircase flew and fell into the adjacent house. Son Mehtab, his children Rehaan and Ayra, who were sleeping in the house, suffered injuries due to the explosion. The roof of the bathroom and kitchen alongwith the railing outside etc have also fallen down. On information, Bariyarpur police station incharge Digvijay Singh reached the spot along with the police force and started investigation. Police are investigating with the help of forensics and bomb disposal squad.
