Huge catch of arms and ammunition seized in Manipur

Imphal, December 21 (HS): A huge catch of arms and ammunition have recovered in Manipur. According to the formal information given by the police today the search operations and area domination were conducted by security forces in the fringe and vulnerable areas of Imphal East, Imphal West, Kangpokpi and Bishnupur districts. In which, the following items were recovered from Kangpokpi District.

One 7.62mm AK-47 Assault Rifle, one 7.62mm AK-47 Rifle Magazine, two No. 36 HE Hand Grenades, two 81mm Mortar HE Bombs, three No. 80 WP Smoke Grenades, one Pt. 22 Pistol, three Detonators and seven 7.62mm live rounds. Search operation is going on in entire area.
