Jalaun, 21 Dec (HS): The district administration has geared up to save the destitute and needy people from the winter season. Due to this, on Thursday morning, District Magistrate Rajesh Pandey roamed the streets and inquired about the well-being of the needy and distributed blankets to protect them from the cold.
The District Magistrate first visited the night shelters, stations, hospitals, bus stands and medical colleges of the city and took stock of the ground arrangements regarding winter safety. He directed the concerned officials that no carelessness of any kind should be taken. If any person is seen shivering due to cold, proper arrangements should be made for him. Apart from this, arrangements for night shelters and bonfires should be made at important places in all the rural and populated areas of the district. Tehsil level officers have been appointed to monitor this.
He has also written a letter to the Superintendent of Police demanding police force to make adequate security arrangements in all these night shelters so that no anarchist can enter these night shelters unnecessarily. There should also be a sense of security in the minds of the needy people staying here. On this occasion, along with the District Magistrate, Additional District Officer (Namami Gange) Vishal Yadav, City Magistrate Dinesh Kumar, Sadar Tehsildar Kumar Bhupendra, OSD Anoop Srivastava, EO Municipality Orai Vimalapati and City Lekhpal Digvijay Singh and other administrative teams were present.
