ABVP concludes 69th National Conference in Delhi, appoints new leadership

Lucknow, 19 Dec (HS): In its 75th year, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) successfully concluded its 69th National Convention at “Indraprastha Nagar,” a residential tent city established at “DDA Ground” in “Burari,” Delhi. This landmark event saw the election of Dr. Suchita Tripathi as State President and Shri Abhay Pratap Singh as the new State Secretary of ABVP Kashi Prant. Notably, ABVP’s membership has surged past 50 lakhs.

During the conference, critical resolutions were passed, emphasizing the importance of quality education, vibrant campus life, Indian diplomacy, embracing a healthy lifestyle, and environmental sustainability.

The convention marked various significant moments. Notably, ABVP welcomed the “Hindavi Swaraj Yatra” on the 350th anniversary of Shivaji Maharaj’s coronation and inaugurated the “Dattaji Didolkar Exhibition,” witnessing the collective singing of “Vande Mataram” by 8500 students. union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah, hailing his roots in ABVP, highlighted the organization’s role in national development.

A grand procession involving over 10,000 workers from across India showcased the unity and diversity within ABVP. Esteemed journalist Rajat Sharma graced the event and honored Sharad Vivek Sagar, Laharibai Padiya, and Dr. Vaibhav Bhandari with the Yashwantrao Kelkar Youth Award. The new national team of ABVP was announced at the closure of the convention.

The “Amrit Mahotsav Year” of ABVP, marking its 75th anniversary, witnesses a historic membership growth to 50,65,264. In the upcoming months, ABVP plans to launch the ‘Parisar Chalo Abhiyaan’ in January to ensure students’ access to campuses and organize Deepotsav programs on Vidyarthi Shri Ram Pran Pratishtha day.

Furthermore, the ABVP National Executive Council passed resolutions congratulating the Ram Temple construction bill and the Nari Shakti Vandan Act recently enacted in the Indian Parliament. Dr. Suchita Tripathi, re-elected State President of ABVP Kashi Prant, and newly elected State Secretary Shri Abhay Pratap Singh expressed their commitment to student welfare and educational advancement. They highlighted ABVP’s dedication to ongoing resolutions, aiming for a positive future.

Attendees at the press conference included ABVP SFD National Co-convenor Payal Rai, State President Suchita Tripathi, and State Media Convenor Abhinav Mishra.
