Varanasi, 18 Dec (HS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi gifted 37 projects worth ?19,150 crore to the entire state including Varanasi in a huge public meeting held in Model Block Sewapuri Barki on Monday.

In the public meeting, the Prime Minister dedicated to the nation the 10,000th railway engine manufactured at the Banaras Railway Engine Factory and flagged off Vande Bharat Express, Indara-Dohrighat MEMU and two goods trains running on DFC. Prime Minister Modi in the public meeting during Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra also interacted with the participants of Kashi Sansad Sports Competition 2023 and beneficiaries of various government schemes, watched live sports programs of the participants.

On this occasion, Prime Minister Modi said that for a developed India, it is very important to develop the country’s women power, youth power, farmers and every poor. ?We are seeing the change that modern connectivity and beautification brings in Kashi city. The pride of Kashi as an important center of faith and spirituality is increasing day by day,? he opined.

He said that today the entire country including Kashi is committed to building a developed India. ?Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ has now reached thousands of villages and cities. ?The effort is that no beneficiary should be deprived of whatever schemes for poor and public welfare have been made by the Government of India. That’s why Modi’s guarantee vehicle has become a superhit,? he claimed.

The Prime Minister said that those who have benefited from the schemes are confident that their lives will get better now. ?Earlier people had to go to the government, now the government itself is going to the poor,? he stressed.

Specially mentioning the schemes to be launched today, Prime Minister Modi said that today the 10 thousandth engine manufactured in Banaras Railway Engine Factory has also been put into operation. ?This strengthens our commitment towards Make in India. This Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra is a mobile university. I learned a lot during these two days in Kashi. The projects launched today will give impetus to the development of Kashi. I am happy that those who used to go abroad earlier are visiting their country today. If tourism increases, development increases. The income of the people of Kashi has increased due to increase in tourism. The government is continuously working for this,? he said.

The Prime Minister said that today information about Gaudoliya chaat and Ramnagar lassi is also available on the Kashi website. ?Here tourists will not need to buy separate tickets. Now there will be entry everywhere through a single pass. Which is the famous place to eat and drink in Kashi? Which is the historical place here? Varanasi tourist website has also been launched to make every such information available to the whole world. He said that he feels proud to hear the praise of Banaras. He got a chance to flag off the Kashi Kanyakumari train yesterday evening itself. Today, another Vande Bharat train was flagged off from Varanasi to Delhi. Mau to Dohrighat train is starting from today,? he emphasised.
