National medal winner of Wushu game Ansh Tiwari honoured by PM Modi

Varanasi, 18 Dec (HS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched many schemes and policies to take his parliamentary constituency Kashi forward on the path of development. One of them is the Sansad Sports Competition, whose objective is to motivate and encourage the youth to be determined towards their goals.

On Monday, on the second day of his visit to Varanasi, the Prime Minister honoured Kashi’s young player ‘Ansh Tiwari’ for winning the gold medal in the “Wushu” event of the Parliamentarian Sports Competition in Barki village and becoming the Champion of Champions. Congratulating him, the Prime Minister said that his determination and skill have truly made the country proud.

Expressing happiness on being honoured by the Prime Minister, Ansh Tiwari said, ?It is impossible to forget the feeling I got after meeting the Prime Minister and being honoured by his hands. I feel proud that I am a resident of the Prime Minister’s parliamentary constituency and he always encourages young players like me to move forward. Just as a player achieves success through hard work and dedication, despite facing many difficulties in his lifetime. In the same way, our Prime Minister is also taking the country to great heights as an efficient leader. That’s why I consider him my role model.?

Ansh is a B.A. third year student in the Faculty of Social Sciences, Banaras Hindu University. He also receives training from coach Gopal Seth in Lama Fight Club. Along with sports, Ansh is also a skilled child artist. He has created his own identity in the art world by acting in many films, serials, advertisements and plays. Ansh gave full credit for his achievement to his coach Gopal Seth and Professor Kavita Verma, in-charge of Wushu game of “Banaras Hindu Vishwavidyalaya”. Ansh met University Professor D.K. Kapadi Sir. He has also expressed his gratitude towards Deepak Dogra Sir, Prof. Rajiv Singh Sir, Vaibhav Rai and Head of the Department of Faculty of Sociology. The young player said that without the blessings and support of these teachers, it would have been impossible for him to achieve this feat. Apart from Ansh Tiwari, the Prime Minister also interacted with the winners of various sports events like Kabaddi, Chess, Badminton etc. of the Parliamentarian Sports Competition.
