Guwahati, December 18 (HS): On the Centre’s instructions, CBI Director Praveen Sood held a meeting here with the Special Investigation Team (SIT) appointed to probe the violence in Manipur.
Amid fresh incidents of violence following the killing of 13 people in Manipur firing, the Centre sent Sood. From here Sood will go to Imphal with a team of experts.
It is noteworthy that on September 27 also, a special CBI team led by Sood had rushed Manipur in connection with the investigation into the alleged murder of two Meitei students.
