Imphal (Manipur), December, 18 (HS): Manipur Police detained 314 persons in connection with violations in Imphal East, Imphal West, Thoubal and Kakching districts of the state.
The movement of 214 vehicles along National Highway No. 2 with essential commodities has been ensured, police said today. Stringent security measures have been put in place at all sensitive places to ensure free and secure movement of vehicles. Security forces have been deployed in a large number in sensitive areas. As many as 141 checkpoints and check-posts have been set up in different districts of Manipur, both in the hills and in the valley, police said.
