Delhi, 15 December (H.S): The proceedings of both the houses of Parliament, Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, were adjourned till 2 pm on Friday and later till Monday due to the uproar by the opposition over the security lapse.
As the Lok Sabha session began, opposition members disrupted the proceedings by coming to the center of the House and raising slogans while holding playing cards. The Presiding Officer, Rajendra Aggarwal, adjourned the proceedings till 2 pm. However, when the session resumed, the chaos continued and ultimately, the proceedings were adjourned till Monday.
Similarly, in Rajya Sabha, Chairman Jagdeep Dhankar refused permission for any adjournment motions related to the security lapse in Parliament, causing an uproar from the opposition. The session was then adjourned till 2 pm. During this break, the Chairman called for a meeting with leaders from both ruling and opposition parties. When the session resumed at 2 pm, the Chairman announced that he had an important announcement to make but had to adjourn the proceedings once again due to continued disruptions from the opposition. This caused a further delay till Monday when the session will resume.
