Mayawati outraged over MP Govt's move to demolish unauthorised shops selling meat in Ujjain

Ujjain, 15 Dec (HS): In a scathing response to the newly-elected BJP government in Madhya Pradesh’s decision to demolish shops serving non-veg in Ujjain, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) National President Mayawati slammed the state’s new Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, saying that instead of providing food and livelihood to the unemployed and poor, he has begun acting against those involved in the fish, eggs, and meat trade.

Mayawati stated in a Facebook post on Friday that not just the Madhya Pradesh government, but all governments, must work hard to eliminate inflation, poverty, and unemployment. “If the bone of contention is the open trade of these non-veg items, why not allot them shops before the demolition drive,” she pondered. Mohan Yadav, as MP CM, ordered the destruction of unlicensed meat businesses in Ujjain in the first instance.
