Delhi, 12 December (HS): union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal is set to present the Chief Election Commissioner and other Election Commissioners (Appointment, Conditions of Service, and Term of Office) Bill, 2023 in the Rajya Sabha for approval.
The proposed Bill aims to regulate the appointment process, terms of service, and tenure of the Chief Election Commissioner and other Election Commissioners. It also seeks to establish a clear procedure for the transaction of business by the Election Commission.
