Balrampur, 12 Dec (HS): Officials reported on Tuesday that the body of a nine-year-old child who was allegedly carried into the jungles by a leopard was discovered near Dharmpur village in this Uttar Pradesh district’s Sohelwa Forest Range. On Monday night, Sharif was returning to the hamlet after grazing goats when a leopard attacked him and carried him into the jungles, according to Forest Officer MB Singh.

He stated that his body was discovered in a thicket near the settlement. District Magistrate Arvind Singh stated that efforts are being made to capture the leopard, and that the forest department has been asked to do so. He also stated that the victim’s family will receive financial support. Six children have been slain in leopard attacks in the region in the last month, causing people to worry.
