Lucknow, 11 Dec (HS): UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Monday that the Supreme Court’s decision to support the government’s move to repeal Article 370 will boost the ethos of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’.
In a post on X, Adityanath stated that the Supreme Court’s verdict on Sections 370 and 35A is laudable. ?This will bolster the spirit of ‘Ek Bharat-Shreshtha Bharat’. From the state’s 25 crore people, I applaud Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the spirit of ‘Nation First’ for the historic task of uniting Jammu and Kashmir with the rest of the country. Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh will establish new norms for excellent government, growth, and prosperity under the effective leadership of the Prime Minister. Jai Hind!? stated Adityanath.
While upholding the government’s decision on Article 370, a five-judge Supreme Court bench also directed that statehood be restored to the union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir as soon as possible and that elections to the union Territory’s Assembly be held by September 30 of next year.
