Building Better India: PM Modi urges youth to act

Delhi, 11 December (HS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually addressed the ‘Viksit Bharat @ 2047: Voice of Youth’ workshop on Monday, where he urged the nation to take a pledge to work towards a developed India.

Congratulating the Governors for organising the event, PM Modi emphasised the importance of every person, institution, and organisation working towards this goal. He stated that India is at a historic period where it has the opportunity to take a quantum jump and become a developed nation, similar to other countries that have achieved this in a given time period.

PM Modi believes that this is the right time for India and every moment should be utilised towards this goal. He stressed the importance of ‘Jan Bhagidari’ or citizen participation in achieving big resolutions such as ‘Digital India’, ‘Vocal for Local’ and Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.

The Prime Minister’s vision is to actively involve the youth in building a strong and empowered society, where citizens think in the interest of the country and work for its welfare. He believes that with everyone’s efforts, India can achieve its goal of becoming a developed nation by 2047, marking 100 years of Independence.
