Thane, 10 Dec (HS): Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday for fulfilling crores of Indians’ wishes by constructing a huge Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. He was addressing at a ceremony to welcome 300 devotees who will walk to Ayodhya and arrive after 47 days.
“I am grateful to Prime Minister Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for realizing the dreams of millions of people by constructing the Ram Temple. It will benefit their’shraddha, asmita, and bhakti’ (devotion and pride),” Shinde said.
Asserting that Shiv Sena founder late Bal Thackeray also desired the construction of a magnificent temple in Ayodhya, the CM said, ?the holy city has been fully changed and has become a major pilgrimage center across the world.?
“We too will experience the grandeur and have darshan when we visit Ayodhya for the temple inauguration (idol consecration) on January 22,” he remarked. He praised the 300 ‘padyatris,’ adding their duty was not easy. “I appreciate your devotion and courage to undertake such a pilgrimage,” he said.
