New Delhi, November 9 (HS): President Droupadi Murmu has appointed three judges to the Supreme Court. The President has issued orders appointing Delhi High Court Chief Justice Satish Chandra Sharma, Rajasthan High Court Chief Justice Augustine George Masih, and Gauhati High Court Chief Justice Sandeep Mehta as judges of the Supreme Court.
These three names were recommended by the Supreme Court Collegium last week.
It is noteworthy that the number of judges approved by the Supreme Court is 34. After the appointment of these three judges, the number of judges in the Supreme Court will now be 34.
