Varanasi, 07 Dec (HS): On the eve of the consecration ceremony of Ramlala, Kashi is set to celebrate Diwali in an unprecedented manner, hitherto unheard of. Ramlala, who would be enthroned in Ayodhya, will be welcomed by Kashi’s God. During this time, every temple in the city would be filled with Lord Ram’s hymns. The festivities will begin on 15 January and will go until 30 January. About 15 lakh lamps will be lit up from the doorsteps of Sanatan Dharma people to the banks of the Ganga. Houses, temples, and ghats will be adorned in the Dev Diwali style.
In addition to inviting visitors, preparations are being made to ensure 22 January remains etched in the minds of people for the years to come. Preparations for Ram Mandir in every temple and Deepotsav in every residence are nearing completion. Rashtriya Swayamsevak’s affiliated groups have been tasked with inviting Kashi saints, Padma winners, and persons directly and indirectly engaged with the Ram Janmabhoomi campaign. A list of 150 Kashi residents has been compiled, and invitations have begun to be sent. 70 Mahamandaleshwars, Shrimahants, saints and ascetics, as well as Padma awardees from the city, have been asked to participate.
Following the conclusion of Kharmas, preparations for Ramlala’s consecration ceremony will begin in Kashi on 15 January. From the doorway to the banks of the Ganga, social, religious, and Hindu organizations have begun public relations efforts to illuminate the dwellings with lamps. Some social organizations are also planning to carry out a religious procession.
Swami Jitendranand Saraswati, General Secretary of All India Sant Samiti, stated that the name Ram shall resonate in every home. For 15 days, there will be a celebratory mood in both Ayodhya and Kashi. All the city’s temples will be decked, and the Ramayana will be recited.
Those who died in the Ram Mandir movement remembered: Tributes were paid on Wednesday evening to those who died in the Ram Mandir campaign. Peace was prayed for the souls of those who perished for the sake of Ram Mandir during the Ganga Aarti held at Assi Ghat. The priests and followers observed silence for two minutes in their honour.
Lankesh’s family will be the first to take their place in Ramlala’s courtyard: Lankesh’s family will be sitting in Raghunandan’s courtyard before Ramlala’s consecration. In the Ayodhya Museum, an endeavour is underway to bring the Ramayana to life with wooden figures.
For the first time, a two-and-a-half-foot wooden figure of Kumbhakaran reclining on a bed constructed in Kashi will be displayed in this museum. The masks of Lankapati and Meghnath would thereafter be installed. ?Ram darbar? will be transported from Kashi to Ayodhya before Ramlala’s consecration, which will be enshrined in the museum before the consecration ceremony.
The procedure of bringing masks and idols of the characters who convey Ramcharit Manas to Ayodhya will begin on December 15. The largest idol of Kumbhkaran has been prepared here. Bihari Lal, who made the idols, stated that the Lord Ram idol is smaller than the Ravana idol. Ram’s idol measures 18 by 8 inches, whereas Ravana’s idol is 36 by 24 inches. Masks and sculptures emphasize emotions. Masks are being produced keeping these parameters in mind.
Kumbhakarana is shown in the context of food and noise. Ravana’s brother Kumbhakaran, according to Manas, used to sleep for six months and then stay up for six months. That’s why he’s sleeping among the food. Ravana and Meghnath’s masks are fiercely exhibited.
