New Delhi, 06 December (H.S): On Wednesday, 10 of the 12 BJP MPs elected to the state Assemblies in the recent elections resigned from Parliament, while the remaining two are expected to follow suit soon.
Among those who submitted their resignation were nine Lok Sabha MPs, including union ministers Narendra Singh Tomar and Prahlad Patel, and one Rajya Sabha member. This move comes as part of the party’s strategy to elect new chief ministers in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Rajasthan.
Sources also stated that union Minister Renuka Singh and Mahant Balaknath will also resign from their Lok Sabha positions. The MPs who have stepped down include Diya Kumari, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, and Rakesh Singh.
This decision by the BJP MPs to resign from their parliamentary seats highlights the party’s commitment to fulfil their role in the state Assemblies and prioritize their responsibilities towards their respective constituencies.
