Intense fight continues in South Gaza, several Hamas commanders killed

Gaza/ Tel Aviv, 06 Dec (HS)): Israeli forces have intensified fighting in South Gaza?s biggest city Khan Younis. The city has been cordoned off by Israeli forces closing all the roads going out of the region.

Israel Defence Forces targeted Hamas commanders who have taken shelter in tunnels in Khan Younis. IDF claimed of eliminating at least four commanders and many other leaders last night.

The Times of Israel reported that the Palestinian terrorists have taken shelters in tunnels made under schools and hospitals. They are being searched and killed by IDF, using missiles, rockets, mortars by Israeli forces. Two Palestinians were killed in the West Bank while fighting against IDF soldiers.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that making the Gaza Strip military free is necessary after the war against Hamas. He also expressed confidence that IDF is capable of doing it.

IDF has apologised for the death of a Lebanese soldier, during IDF?s action against Hezbollah post. Lebanon soldier was not on the target. IDF Chief Lt Gen Herzy Haveli said that the Khan Younis region has been cordoned off by IDF. Hamas commanders from North Gaza were killed by IDF. They had taken shelter in tunnels near schools and hospitals.

IDF said that the United Nations is responsible for the low supply of humanitarian aid to South Gaza. IDF is fighting the war by following international law.
