Barabanki, 5 Dec (HS): According to police, two brothers were killed after their motorbike was hit by a speeding vehicle on the Bhitaria-Haidergarh Road here on Tuesday. Gangaram Rawat (40) and his brother Jagdish Rawat (35), both residents of Mahulara village, were riding their motorcycles across the road in wee hours when the incident occurred in the Ram Sanehi Ghat area, they claimed.
The building material-laden dump truck was driving from Haidergarh. According to investigators, the driver fled the scene after crushing the duo under the wheels of his vehicle. The men, who were not wearing helmets, perished on the scene, they added. Police have launched an investigation to find the erring truck driver.
