Raipur, 5 December (HS): Armed Forces Flag Day is celebrated every year on December 7, in honour of the bravery, sacrifice, and dedication of the Indian Army and in memory of the brave martyrs. In this context, Secretary, Rajya Sainik Board, and Director, Sainik Welfare, Brigadier Vivek Sharma appealed to all the citizens of Chhattisgarh to contribute to this noble cause by donating as much as possible for the rehabilitation and welfare schemes of widows of martyred soldiers, ex-servicemen, and serving soldiers and their dependents.
It is noteworthy that Armed Forces Flag Day is a great opportunity for all the citizens to show their respect to the soldiers serving in their army in difficult and difficult areas, families of brave martyrs, and ex-servicemen, in which all the citizens donate wholeheartedly to the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund.
This fund is used in the rehabilitation of injured soldiers, financial assistance to the families of martyred soldiers, welfare schemes, and rehabilitation for ex-servicemen and their dependents.
It should be noted that the entire amount donated will be exempt from income tax under Section 80 of the Income Tax Act of 1961. Donations can be made through a check, RTGS, or draft or through a barcode by contacting the Sainik Welfare Office.
