Noida, 5 May (HS): Officials claimed on Friday that the Noida Authority had sealed over 100 unsold units in three housing complexes in the city due to non-payment of dues of 1,086 crore. The measure was made jointly by the Noida Authority’s departments of group housing, planning, and the local work circle on Thursday, they added.
“The action was taken due to non-payment of dues by the builders and to expedite the process of registering the homes purchased by buyers,” Officer on Special Duty (Group Housing) Prasun Dwivedi explained.
Gardenia Aims Developers’ residential skyscraper in Sector 46 has been sealed, with roughly 110 unsold units. He also stated that the project office had been shut.
Two unsold apartments, two stores, and a marketing office have been sealed at Logix Infrastructure’s project in Sector 137.
According to the official, an unsold property in Gardenia Gateway India’s Sector 75 building has also been sealed. Gardenia Aims Developers owes 603.15 crores.
The OSD stated that Logix Infrastructure owes the Noida Authority 379.65 crore and Gardenia Gateway India owes the Noida Authority 103.38 crore.
“It is also noteworthy that these builders have not applied in the authority’s rescheduled meant scheme to expedite the registry of flats of homebuyers,” Dwivedi said, adding that “even after notices were sent to them for recovery of dues, the builders have not deposited any money with the authority.”
The official stated that similar action would be taken in the future against developers who have not paid their Noida Authority dues and are not expediting the flat register process.
