Nagpur, 05 May (HS): The coming five years can provide a large number of employment opportunities in the maritime sector. Indian Maritime University’s Controller of Examinations Commodore (Retd) Kishore Joshi appealed to the students of Vidarbha to make these opportunities by seeking admission for the new academic session of the Indian Maritime University. The University provides various courses in maritime and related shipbuilding, training, and management.
Joshi gave information about the curriculum of the new academic session and opportunities in this field by the Indian Maritime University. The university has campuses in Kochi, Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, and Visakhapatnam. Also, a total of 17 private colleges in the country including 7 colleges in Maharashtra are affiliated with this university. Students of Vidarbha can choose a new career option through various courses at the university Joshi said.
Applications for the new academic session of the university can be made till May 18 and the Common Entrance Test (CET) will be held on June 10. The new session will start in the second week of August. Technical and non-technical courses are conducted by this university. Technical courses include B Tech and M Tech in Marine Engineering, and Naval Architecture. For non-technical courses in Nautical Science and Management, BBA, BSc, and MBA, courses are conducted.
