Delhi/Hyderabad, 4 December (HS): Tragedy struck on Monday morning as an Indian Air Force trainer aircraft, Pilatus PC 7 Mk II, crashed in the Medak district of Telangana, claiming the lives of two IAF pilots.
The aircraft was on a routine training sortie from AFA, Hyderabad when it crashed, causing fatal injuries to both pilots on board. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh expressed his grief over the incident, stating that his thoughts are with the families of the deceased.
The incident took place in Toopran mandal and a Court of Inquiry has been initiated to investigate the cause of the crash. Authorities from AFA reached the crash site and are working to gather more information.
