Saturday's All-Party Meeting: Prepping for Parliament's Winter Session

Delhi, 2 December (H.S): In preparation for the upcoming Winter session of Parliament, the Centre has called for an all-party meeting at 11 am on December 2, as announced by Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi in a media briefing in New Delhi. With this being the last session of the current Lok Sabha, Joshi has urged all opposition parties to cooperate and participate in discussions in the House.

The Central government has already proposed 24 bills for the current session and is expected to finalize the list in the next few days, which will be communicated to all opposition parties during the all-party meeting.

Additionally, seven new bills are likely to be introduced in the House during the Winter session, including the establishment of a Central Tribal University in Telangana and provisions for women’s reservation in the Legislative Assembly of union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Puducherry.

The all-party meeting serves as an important platform for the government and opposition parties to come together and discuss key legislative issues in a democratic manner.
