New Delhi / Kota, 01 May (HS): National Testing Agency’s National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET) UG-2023 exam will be held on Sunday, May 7 in offline mode in 499 cities of the country and abroad. The list of allotted examination centers for the candidates has been released on the official website. Admit cards will be issued in the next one or two days.
NTA Senior Director Examination Dr Sadhna Parashar told that students can download information about the examination center on the basis of application number and date of birth. Admit cards will be issued in the next one or two days. This exam will be held on May 7 from 2 pm to 5.20 pm. Candidates will be allowed entry into the examination centers after 1.30 pm after a strict security check.
The examination will be held in these 25 cities of Rajasthan
In Rajasthan, on Sunday, May 7, NEET-UG, 2023 offline exam will be held at centers in 25 cities. For this Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kota, Baran, Sawaimadhopur, Udaipur, Ajmer, Bikaner, Alwar, Bhilwara, Barmer, Bharatpur, Chittorgarh, Churu, Dausa, Dhaulpur, Hanumangarh, Jaisalmer, Jhunjhunu, Karauli, Nagaur, Pali, Sikar, Sirohi, Examination centers have been made in Sriganganagar. In Rajasthan, more than 1.5 lakh students will appear in this examination.
Maximum 21.63 lakh examinees this year
Allen’s Career Counselor Parijat Mishra said that this year maximum of 21.63 lakh students have registered for NEET-UG, 2023 examination. Last year 18,72,341 candidates appeared in it. For this, 485 cities in India and 14 cities abroad, UAE’s Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah, Bangkok (Thailand), Colombo (Sri Lanka), Doha (Qatar), Kathmandu (Nepal), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Kuwait, Lagos (Nigeria) Examination centers have been set up in Manama (Bahrain), Muscat (Oman), Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) and Singapore.
No change in the paper pattern
NEET-UG exam will have a paper of 720 marks, in which a total of 180 questions have to be solved in 200 minutes. There will be negative markings in both the A and B sections of the paper. In the paper, 50-50 questions will be asked from Physics, Chemistry, Zoology and Botany. Section-A of each subject will have 35 multiple-choice questions, while Section B will have 10 out of 15 questions. This entrance test will be conducted in offline mode in 13 languages Hindi, English, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Oriya, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.
Delay in admit card doubles the trouble
Medical students told that due to the non-issuance of admit cards till 7 days ago, they could not get information about the examination centers, due to which they would have to face physical, mental and financial problems. After releasing the information about the examination centers on April 30, from May 01, lakhs of candidates are getting railway reservations done to reach the examination centers, which is causing a lot of trouble. Students are also facing problems in making advance bookings in hotels.
