Country’s first robotic surgery training center opened in AIIMS

New Delhi, 02 May (HS): The first Robotic Surgery Training Center was inaugurated at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) New Delhi today (Tuesday) at 11 am. It is the first robotic surgery training center in the country. According to AIIMS officials, this facility will be available in the Wet Lab, SET (Skills, E-learning, Telemedicine) facility, and Convergence Block of AIIMS New Delhi.

The center has been set up in partnership with India Medtronic Pvt. Ltd. The center will provide the best training to surgeons in robotic surgery. It also includes wet lab training with simulations. Apart from AIIMS, doctors from other hospitals will also be able to take training in robotic surgery. Now doctors will not need to go abroad for training in robotic surgery.
