Delhi, 31 January (H.S): President Droupadi Murmu delivered her first address in the New Parliament building during the Budget Session on Wednesday.
She praised the work done by the Modi government, including the realization of the long-awaited Ram Mandir, Chandrayaan-3, G20 Summit, Asian Games, and Har Ghar Jal among other initiatives. She expressed her confidence that this new building will be a platform for meaningful conversations on policies and will uphold democratic and parliamentary traditions while also creating new traditions for the 21st century India.
The President also highlighted the completion of significant works in the last 10 years that were crucial for the country’s progress, such as the construction of Ram Temple and abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir.
She also praised the government’s efforts in fighting global issues like the pandemic and keeping inflation under control while promoting initiatives like ‘Make in India’ and ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ to strengthen India’s position globally. Overall, President Murmu’s speech hailed the Modi government for its achievements and vision for a stronger and self-reliant India.
