Chennai, 28 Jan (HS): Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s withdrawal from the Mahagathbandhan coalition and, as a result, the INDIA bloc to join with the BJP is a “loss” for the Saffron party and a “gain” for the opposition alliance, Tamil Nadu’s governing DMK said on Sunday.
In response to Janata Dal (United) President and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s action, which is viewed as a body blow to the INDIA coalition, DMK spokesman J Constandine Ravindran stated, “People will never accept this act of betrayal.”
Ravindran added, “Though Kumar is a seasoned Bihar leader, he has entirely lost credibility. He is without integrity. Leaders must have integrity and credibility.”
Furthermore, he stated that Nitish Kumar’s departure from the INDIA bloc benefits the opposition coalition while harming the BJP. ?People will teach Nitish Kumar a lesson at the appropriate moment,” he remarked. The JD(U) chief is switching affiliations for the seventh time, according to Ravindran, who added that Kumar just joined the Mahagathbandhan in Bihar in August 2022.
