Crime Branch SP of Kathmandu Police Nakul Pokhrel stated that the individuals, residing in various locations across Nepal, had entered the country illegally and engaged in anti-social activities by disseminating fake videos on social media platforms.#NepalPolice #ReligiousTensions
Pokhrel revealed that the videos circulated by the suspects aimed at inciting religious tensions and instigating hatred among Muslims. Following raids at multiple locations, law enforcement confiscated laptops, mobile phones, over 50 SIM cards, and a significant amount of currency. The arrested individuals have been identified as Mohammad Shamsul Hoda (45), Mohammad Masum Miyan (36), Abdul Biswas (30), Mohammad Rifat Ahmad (26), and Mohammad Abdullah (23), all hailing from Dhaka.#CrimeBranch
