New Delhi, 22 February (H): There are not many days left for the Lok Sabha elections, on one hand there are opposition political parties which are still not able to maintain coordination, on the other hand, the confidence of the Modi government and the BJP is at its peak. On the basis of development, Modi is contesting for the third time.
They are going to form the government at the center in the country with the help of their party’s MPs.
Has this confidence suddenly come to the Bharatiya Janata Party today? Or the party, from the central government to the state governments and their workers, while being in power in the last years, have done what no earlier governments in the country has been able to do till now!
It is clearly visible that Modi Government at Centre has been working hard to develop every section of society through many schemes of big, small and medium sizes suitable to them. It has transformed the country today; this is also the main reason that the mood of the people of country is to bring BJP to power again in 2024 with absolute majority.
Efforts are being made to keep Modi government away from power
It is a fact that many other political parties are doing anything and everything to stop the BJP’s victory campaign. Efforts are on to instigate the farmers of many states of the country including Punjab regarding MSP and other demands. Opposition parties are using all kinds of strategies to create an atmosphere of anarchy and lawlessness in the country to break public trust towards the Modi government. But even after all this, it is visible that the people of the country have unwavering faith in the Modi government at the Centre.
This is also the reason why the entire BJP leadership, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and party president JP Nadda, is confident that this time in the Lok Sabha elections, the party will be able to cross the mark of 370 seats on its own and 400 with other constituent parties of NDA. Prime Minister Modi is also openly saying in his public meetings that the ‘Lotus’ symbol of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will win more than 370 seats in the coming Lok Sabha elections. These five years were of reform, perform and transform in the country. Previous governments worked to serve political interests, whereas “our government worked keeping the national interest supreme”.
The Indian Transformation started in the country from 2014
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is speaking openly today that the policies adopted before 2014 were taking the country on the path of poverty. Earlier, the formula for poverty alleviation used to be debated sitting in AC rooms and the poor remained poor. But after 2014, when the son of poor parents became the Prime Minister, this industry running in the name of poverty came to an end. Now the governance model is moving forward on two streams simultaneously. On the one hand, “we are also addressing the challenges that we have inherited from the 20th century”. On the other hand, “we are also engaged in fulfilling the aspirations of the 21st century”. There are many areas in which more work has been done in the last 10 years than was done in the last 70 years.
Many welfare schemes were launched by the Modi government, prominent among which are Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao, Sukanyata, schemes to benefits the farmers, Swachh Bharat Mission, PM Mudra Yojana, Atal Pension Yojana, Smart City Scheme, Make in India, PM Vishwakarma Yojana, One Rank – One Pension for defence personnel can be mentioned.
Three Types of Schemes
There are three types of central government schemes. Very Important Schemes, Master Schemes and other schemes of national importance which you can also call as Core of Core Schemes, Core Schemes and Major Central Sector Schemes.
One scheme alone worth ?13,000 crore
The Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana alone is worth ?13,000 crore, which will be applicable till 2027-2028. Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, the poor and homeless people of the country are being given assistance by the Central Government to build their houses. With the help of this amount, citizens living below the poverty line have been able to build their own houses. The biggest benefit of this is that families in cities as well as rural areas can get a permanent roof over their heads.
Today, with the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, it has become possible for marginal and small farmers of the country to easily get financial help in farming. The Central Government is providing additional financial assistance of ?6,000 to each farmer of the country every year.
Today, the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana is continuously increasing the yield by ensuring irrigation facilities. The vision of this scheme is to ensure that every farm has access to some form of protective irrigation means. Farmers are being educated about modern methods of irrigation so that they get ‘higher yield for every drop’ of water.
Similarly, through the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, free food grains are being provided to 80 crore people of the country today.
?2 lakh are being given to family as emergency help
Under Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, in case of death of the insured, the family is given financial assistance of up to ?2 lakh. Any needy person in the country can avail the benefit of this scheme by paying an annual premium of only ?436. The good thing about this is that to buy this policy, your minimum age has been fixed at 18 years and maximum age at 55 years.
Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana is also a similarly big scheme, which is implemented by the Government of India. Launched with the aim of protecting the large population, its annual premium is ?20. In this scheme, you get accident insurance cover of ?2 lakh. If your age is between 18 to 70 years, then you can buy this protection insurance plan which gives coverage up to ?2lakh by paying just ?20 per year.
Atal Pension Yojana running in the country is a pension scheme focused on workers in the unorganised sector. In this pension scheme run by the Government of India, one can invest from the age of 18 years to 40 years and after the age of 60 years, a maximum pension of up to ?5,000 can be received every month. The amount of pension depends on your investment, if there is more investment then more pension will be made every month. Any citizen of India can join the APY scheme. The government also adds some money in proportion to your deposited amount and then on completing the age of 60 years, the government starts giving you pension.
This is how Modi government changed the lives of daughters and women
Modi government has started Ujjwala Yojana with the aim of changing the lives of the women of the country. In this, BPL card holders are given free gas connection and get 12 gas cylinders in a year at subsidy. It would not be untrue to say today that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given women power a leading position in India’s developmental journey Mission Shakti consists of two sub-schemes ‘Sambal’ and ‘Samarth’ for the protection and empowerment of the women. The impact of this approach can be clearly seen in the results, such as improvement in sex-ratio, which is now 1020 females per 1000 males for the first time, increase in deliveries in medical institutions, decline in infant mortality rate and maternal mortality rate.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had launched Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana under the Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao campaign. To address the concerns of families who cannot educate their children, especially girls, due to lack of economic prosperity, the government came up with Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana. Under this scheme, it has become possible to invest money to cover the expenses of the daughter from her education to her marriage. A huge amount of interest is also being given back by the government on this, so that when any daughter attains the age of majority, she will get financial support. No daughter will be forced to leave school due to poverty.
Every poor person has got the guarantee of health today
Ayushman Bharat scheme of Modi government was brought with the aim of taking care of the health of the poor and economically weak citizens of the country. Currently, under the scheme, Ayushman card holders are getting the facility of free treatment up to ?5 lakh. The Central Government is also running ‘Ayushman Bhava’ campaign to expand this scheme, under which Ayushman cards are being made for the eligible people.
The country’s economic system is being made transparent by connecting every citizen to the banking system.
Jan Dhan Yojana is to connect people living below the poverty line with banks. Under this, zero balance accounts are opened in all public banks. Apart from cheque book, pass book, accident insurance, the common man also gets the facility of overdraft facility on Jan Dhan Bank account. Under the overdraft facility, Jan Dhan account holders can withdraw up to ?10,000 even if there is no balance in their account.
Startup India changed the lives of youth
Startup India is a major initiative of the Government of India. Its objective is to create a strong ecosystem for startups and new ideas in the country which will lead to economic development of the country and generate employment opportunities on a large scale. There is an effective scheme by the Modi government to help the youth of the country. This initiative is to provide opportunities to the youth to become industrialists and entrepreneurs. Start-up means providing finance to the youth of the country through banks so that they can start with better strength and can create more employment in India. Today, let us call this scheme a success that lakhs of unemployed people in the country have become self-reliant by joining it.
Clearly Narendra Modi NDA government is focusing on promoting entrepreneurship. The ?Make in India? initiative is based on our four pillars of promoting entrepreneurship in India. Not only manufacturing, but also in other sectors. New Methodology: To promote ?Make in India? entrepreneurship, ?Ease of Doing Business? based work is being done in the country today.
Modi government has greatly promoted education and skill development. Many unique measures were taken to increase the quality and accessibility of education. A fully IT-based Financial Assistance Authority was set up to administer and monitor all education loans and scholarships through the Pradhan Mantri Vidyalakshmi Programme. Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya Teacher Training Mission was started to increase the quality of teaching. Global Initiative of Academic Network (GIAN) launched to provide international exposure to Indian students.
Electricity in every house and work for every hand, this is the aim of Modi government
India has set an ambitious mission to provide electricity to 18,000 villages. These villages were still immersed in darkness even after seven decades of Independence. Prime Minister Modi had announced in his Independence Day speech that electricity would be provided to all the remaining villages within 1,000 days. The result of this is that today electrification of villages is happening rapidly. The data of villages being electrified through this is available to the public. Due to this, people’s confidence in Modi government has increased many folds.
So India will leave America behind in economy!
India has today become the fastest growing large economy in the world. Since the Modi government came to power at the Center in 2014, the Indian economy has seen historic success. Coming out of low growth rate, high inflation and declining production, the NDA government not only strengthened the macro-economic fundamentals but also successfully took the economy on a fast-paced growth path.
India’s GDP growth rate is at an all-time high today of 7.4% and is the fastest among all major economies of the world. Various rating agencies and think tanks have predicted that if the Modi government continues to rule India for a few more years, then no power can stop it from becoming the second or third largest economy in the world, maybe in the coming few years. It should also leave America behind.
Building infrastructue for rising India
Clearly, the BJP-led Modi government at the Center has promoted infrastructure from day one. Be it railways, roads, or shipping, the government is focusing on improving infrastructure to increase connectivity. For the first time, the Railway Budget focused on structural reforms and fundamental changes. Announcement of new trains used to be done to gain political mileage, but now it has become a common practice. Today, facilities for passengers are being provided at railway stations including Wi-Fi, passenger helpline (138), security helpline (182), paperless unreserved ticketing system, e-Catering, mobile security app and even separate railway coaches for women.
Every state got equal status in Modi government
Never before has the spirit of ‘Team India’ been seen in working for India’s development. In a departure from the past, Prime Minister Modi emphasised on promoting cooperative and competitive federalism to achieve all-round development. For a long time, we saw a big brotherly relationship between the Center and the states. The ?one size fits all? approach was used for years. The diversity of different states and their local needs were not taken into account. To give more strength and power to the states, NITI Aayog was formed and today the work plan on how the Center can provide maximum benefits to all while ensuring the participation of all the states is being successfully implemented.
Today, many reforms have been introduced in the country to ensure all-round development. The Modi government has created a national consensus and has successfully implemented the Goods and Services Tax (GST) in the country, the biggest benefit of which is being received today is the continuous increase in tax collection, which will help in the development works in the country with great speed is clearly visible.
In this way, the successful implementation of all the schemes has today given confidence to most of the citizens of the country that the country is in safe hands and hence the Bharatiya Janata Party should be given the opportunity to remain in power at the Center for another five years. At present, that is why BJP is talking about crossing the target of 370 considering the confidence of the people in the party. Today, I am reiterating the confidence in the NDA constituents to win 400 Lok Sabha seats. In the end, it must be said that the people of the country also feel that this year again BJP’s Modi government is coming to power.
