Delhi, 21 February (H.S): The legal community mourns the loss of a great leader as renowned advocate and legal doyen Fali S Nariman passed away at the age of 95 after battling multiple ailments, including cardiac issues. In his long and illustrious career, Nariman argued in several landmark cases, including the famous National Judicial Appointments Commission case.
He served as the additional solicitor general and was awarded the Padma Bhushan and Padma Vibhushan for his contributions to the legal field. Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his grief and praised Nariman for dedicating his life to making justice accessible to all.
Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi, Kharge also condoled his death, stating that Nariman’s contributions have not only shaped landmark cases but also inspired future generations of jurists. His passing has left a profound void in the legal community, and his unwavering commitment to principles will always be remembered.
