What’s the incident ? : Darul Uloom Deoband Bans Women from Campus !
Saharanpur, 17 May (HS): Darul Uloom, an Islamic institution in Deoband, Uttar Pradesh, has forbidden women from entering its campus. Officials stated today that the decision was made because women would come and film movies for social media, interfering with pupils’ education. Muslims around the country filed complaints after seeing the films on social media. Mohtamim (administrator) Maulana Mufti Abul Qasim Nomani affirmed the ban on all women and explained the grounds behind it. Darul Uloom is an Islamic seminary, and such behaviour is unacceptable in any school, he stated. Not only has that, but a fresh session of instruction begun at Darul Uloom. Overcrowding was also having an impact on pupils’ academic performance. We had multiple complaints about this, Nomani stated.
