Blaze in Capital: Tragedy Strikes as Fire Engulfs Paint Factory in Delhi’s Alipur

Delhi, 16 February (H.S): A tragic incident occurred in outer Delhi’s Alipur on Thursday as a massive fire broke out in a paint factory, claiming the lives of at least eleven people and injuring four others.

According to sources, the charred bodies of eleven victims were found in the premises of the factory located in Dayalpur Market. Among the rescued was a police constable who sustained injuries during the rescue operations. The Delhi Fire Services received a call about the incident at 5:25 pm and immediately deployed 22 fire-tenders to tackle the blaze. The deceased have been moved to Babu Jagjeevan Ram Hospital and the four injured are being treated at Raja Harish Chandra Hospital.

Eyewitnesses reported hearing an explosion before the fire broke out and efforts were made to douse it before the fire department arrived. The fire was brought under control after four hours, but some people are still missing and search operations are ongoing. This incident is a stark reminder of the importance of safety measures and regulations in factories to avoid such catastrophic events. It also highlights the need for thorough investigation to determine the cause of the fire and hold responsible parties accountable to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.

Just two weeks ago, another fire took four lives in Delhi’s Shahdara area, emphasizing the urgency for stricter safety protocols and implementation of building codes.
